Within view of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls and Niagara Falls’ Queen Victoria Park, NPG Planning Solutions is leading the Stanley Hotel and Condominium development. Consisting of three towers over 30 storeys tall on a 3.5 acre site in the heart of Niagara’s Fallsview area, the development will feature two residential towers offering approximately 580 units, and an adjacent third tower hotel that will hold 300 hotel rooms and 13,000 ft² of retail space on the ground floor. As project managers and lead urban designers, Mary Lou Tanner and Jeremy Tran led the process of acquiring the rezoning approval and Section 37 Agreement (Density Bonusing) approval for the residential and hotel complex.
NPG staff worked closely with City of Niagara Falls staff on urban design of the three towers, implementing the City’s urban design requirements for tall buildings. Integrated into the design is access to both City and Regional roads as well as addressing the Ontario Power Generation Tunnel which runs underneath a portion of the lands.
