New Team Member Announcement | Brianna Miller

NPG Planning Solutions is growing, and we are pleased to introduce Brianna Miller, RPP (Candidate), as our newest Planner. Brianna brings a rare combination of academic depth, professional planning experience, and firsthand agricultural knowledge that makes her a natural fit for the breadth of work we do at NPG.

Brianna holds two Master’s degrees; a Master of Science in Earth Sciences from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Science in Rural Planning and Development from the University of Guelph, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Geomatics. She is also a PhD candidate at Wilfrid Laurier University, where her research focuses on the role of Indigenous community-led environmental monitoring in supporting informed land governance and resilience planning. Her academic background spans the physical, policy, and community dimensions of planning, giving her a well-rounded foundation for complex, multi-layered projects.

In practice, Brianna has built her career across both rural and urban development planning contexts. Her work includes the preparation of Minimum Distance Separation reports and Agricultural Impact Assessments in support of rural development proposals. What sets her apart in this area is a grounded, practical understanding of agricultural systems; Brianna comes from a farming background and brings hands-on knowledge of rural land use that strengthens the quality and credibility of her work. She is also currently pursuing her Agrologist accreditation, further deepening her expertise at the intersection of planning and agriculture. At NPG, she will contribute across our rural, agricultural, and land use planning practice areas.
