This year, NPG Planning Solutions is thrilled to have 13 of our team members attend the annual OPPI conference! It’s always inspiring to connect with industry leaders and learn about innovative approaches to pressing planning issues. At NPG, we embrace the learning journey as a cornerstone of our growth. We believe that continuous learning fuels our creativity and keeps us at the forefront of our industry.

NPG President, Ms. Mary Lou Tanner, was one of the speakers of at this year’s conference. Along with Ms. Courtney Heron-Monk (Senior Associate, Bousfields) and Ms. Dana Anderson (Partner, MHBC Planning), Ms. Tanner hosted a session titled “The Planner’s Dilemmas – Conversations in Ethics and Planning”. Her panel provided insights into the updated view of the Professional Code of Conduct as well as the rise of AI and its implications on planning ethics. Ms. Tanner specifically spoke about the important skill set for planners to be effective and professional in increasingly challenging public engagement sessions.

We are excited to apply what we’ve learned at the conference in our practice and look forward to the OPPI Conference next year!
