NPG is proud to be the planning consultant for Clayfield Commons—a landmark mixed-use development set to open in May 2026 in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s Garrison Village. As the lead planning consultant, NPG was responsible for filing and supporting all Planning Act applications required for this project. Read more about NPG’s involvement in this project here.

Led by The Village Development Inc., this visionary project brings together thoughtfully designed office, retail, hospitality, and public space to create a walkable, community-focused destination. Anchored by the 102-room Clayfield Hotel, and a new 1,330-square-metre Foodland grocery store, Clayfield Commons represents the next generation of community-centered planning. The development will include over 5,000 square metres of retail space, 2,600 square metres of office space, 460 parking spots, and vibrant pedestrian areas for gatherings, cafés, and local businesses. The architectural design respects the scale and charm of the surrounding neighbourhood while introducing new opportunities for living, working, and connecting.
