Planner

Brianna Miller, RPP (Candidate), is a planner with professional experience in development planning across rural and urban contexts. She holds two Master’s degrees; a Master of Science in Earth Sciences from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Science in Rural Planning and Development from the University of Guelph, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Geomatics. Brianna is also a PhD candidate at Wilfrid Laurier University, where her research examines the role of Indigenous community-led environmental monitoring in supporting informed land governance and resilience planning.

Brianna’s planning work is informed by a genuine understanding of agricultural systems and rural communities. Coming from a farming background, she brings hands-on agricultural knowledge to her rural and agricultural planning practice, which has been a key asset in the preparation of Minimum Distance Separation reports and Agricultural Impact Assessments in support of rural development proposals. She is currently pursuing her Agrologist accreditation, further complementing her planning designation and deepening her expertise at the intersection of planning and agriculture.
