As Principal Planner, Niagara, Aaron leads NPG’s staff through a variety of projects in all areas of development and policy planning. Aaron joined the NPG team with over 10 years of public sector planning experience, including his most recent role with the Town of Fort Erie where he managed the high-paced Planning and Development Department. Aaron achieves planning solutions using a friendly and practical approach with stakeholders. Aaron’s experience in a variety of roles at both regional and local area municipalities has provided him with a comprehensive and valuable understanding of municipal planning processes. He specializes in development planning and brings additional experience in heritage and policy planning.
In his spare time Aaron stays active by working away in his workshop or yard, and playing hockey and baseball, or a round of golf. Aaron also enjoys travelling with his wife Meghan, and volunteering to assist animals in need.

Born and raised in the Niagara Region, Aaron is passionate about seeing his home community evolve and thrive. Aaron enjoys seeing a project enrich people’s lives as it comes to fruition. He holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Planning from the University of Waterloo and is a full member of the Canadian Institute of Planner and Ontario Professional Planners Institute.
